LA COSA NOSTRA

I wrote LA COSA NOSTRA in '06 and found Adam Swiecki through a website for comic book artists. We worked on the book over several months under the impression that it would be the initial release of a new indie company. Unfortunately the company never got off the ground. Adam and I lost touch over the years, but have recently reconnected thanks to Deviantart.com. For now this issue of LA COSA NOSTRA can stand on it's own, but Adam and I are discussing a revamp and re-release.
The story revolves around three young Italian men trying to make their way in the world of the NYC underground during the 1930's. Unfortunately they make their move just as the Castellammarese War breaks out, one of the bloodiest gang
wars in NYC's infamous history. Such notorious men as Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Gambino, and Maranzano ruled the city and our fictional gangster Ramando fought for his place beside them.

The Artist in His Own Words
Adam Swiecki (1977) - is a comic book artist from Poland, a graduate of the architecture faculty at Bialystok Politechnic, and the author of the comic “Wolf Dreams”(Timof), as well as, the comics series “The Reborn Legends”. The latter presents commonly unknown, or forgotten, Polish legends. The series was published by the Polish company Studio Domino Ltd., and consists of the following parts: 'Dziewanna', 'Lewiatom', and 'Szeptucha'. His various comics appear in such Polish magazines as: “Znakomiks”, “Krakers”, “Komiks Forum”, such Holandish magazines as “Myx”, “SFeerie”, and "Playhousecomix”, and of course the US and UK publications “Cold Blooded Chillers” & “2012: Final Prayer”.
