Greg Skynard was one of the best selling horror novelists in the world until an extreme case of writer's block led to horrific events that destroyed his perfect life. Losing everything he cared about has left him a crass and abrasive man with only a homeless vet to call a friend, and a deep seeded hatred for society as we know it. He drinks to forget, works and fucks out of sheer boredom, tries various drugs in an attempt to improve a world that's deteriorating around him, and avoids most people like meth heads avoid dentists. That is until a drunken night of sex with a psychiatrist named Judy, a woman seeking her own kind of savior, leads to a codependency that may pull Greg back from the abyss, or send him over for good.
Misguidance is a series based around one man's decision to detach himself from the bullshit we all choose to choke down on a daily basis. It shows what can happen when a loving family man loses everything, and tries to exile himself from ever caring for someone again. It's a dramatic tale with thrilling back story that lends twists and unforeseen turns throughout as one woman tries to prove that caring for someone can save even the most wayward of souls.
I'm writing the second episode now... I'm adding a thriller/stephen king type of feel to it. It deals with where he gets his writing ideas, which are his nightmares, and his 6-year-old son is starting to have them too... He has the son draw out his dreams and discovers that he's seeing the same man as the one Greg's been writing about for years. It ends up being the same man that haunted Greg's mother until she killed herself. He also realizes that his dreams may not be fictional. This mystery man ends up killing Greg's family while he's at a signing and when he discovers their bodies is when he becomes detached from society
